So we met each other when we were both 12 years old. We lived in the same neighborhood, went to the same secondary/ high school, we were both in the same year group and went to the same church. So we were childhood friends who never really interacted much as we were still very young.

My sweetheart left Congo with her family some years later and we lost contact.

Fast forward few years later after she left, I managed to find her again and contacted her through a mutual friend.

I've always admired her as a God fearing and loving Christian woman as well as for her intelligence but the timing was never right to ever approach her for courtship therefore, we developed a genuine friendship which made my appreciation towards her turn into love affection.

When we saw each other again for her brother's wedding, that's when I knew not to let her go because she was the rarest pearl I have ever led eyes on. I consulted God about her because I simply could not help myself but fall in love with her and I am so glad God favored me to have her as my wife and trusted me enough to be her husband.

So altogether 15 years of friendship and 2.5 years of committed courtship with my sweet rainbow and soon we shall start counting the years down as husband and wife.
